          Results

        ACI’s team has attained many

        savings for clients, for example:

       > A national Home Improvement

    chain received a gas bill for a

    facility for $42000. Utilizing the

    database we had developed, we

    demonstrated to the utility that this

    could not be an accurate bill.

    Subsequently the bill was reissued

    for $4000, a credit of $38000.

    > A new facility for a national

       warehouse retailer was placed on an

    inappropriate electric rate schedule

    by the utility company. Our

    recommendation to change rate

    schedule saves approximately

    $20000 per year.

    > Redevelopment of a strip center

       caused meters to be switched

    between our client and their larger

    neighbor. Our engineering study

    convinced the utility of an error.

       Their investigation led to a credit of

       $48000, and subsequent annual

       savings of $24000 per year.

          > A national arts and crafts chain

    experienced a demand read inflated

    by a factor of 10 for one of its

    facilities. The utility’s use of a

    “ratchet” compounded the

    problem. Our review of the bills,

    and our subsequent resolution of

    the matter led to a credit in excess

    of $20000.

 > The meter multiplier for one site

    belonging to a leading drug retailer

    was incorrectly set. The utility did

    not initially accept our contention;

    only after the provision of HVAC and

    lighting plans did they accept our

    claim. A refund of $86000 was

    given to the client.
